Our Story

Dani wrote about her and her husbands story and asked others to share theirs. So I decided I would write about ours also. Our story started in August of 2007. It was when we first met. We met when we were attending junior college. We were introduced through a mutual friend. We were the same year but very different majors. When we first met, it was not love at first sight. It was far from it. We did not even give each other a second thought. Although to this day I still remember exactly what he was wearing :P.
Yes at this point his hair was longer than mine. and for prosperity here is what I looked like.
Over that summer we talked online non stop. We had not seen each other since May, but continued to get to know each other. Come September it was like we were never apart. We could have met up considering we lived in the same rinky dink town, but we never did. Over the next few months it had gotten serious and we were "dating". We even spent that Christmas together (in a very nontraditional way). Which ended up with me in a movie accidentally pouring a slushy down my shirt. Neither of us had made it official at this point. Come new years, my brother had brought this up to me, only after he had noticed that we had not kissed when the ball dropped. Yes I brought my little brother and my boyfriend to the same new years party. So we talked about it, but still had not made it official we just started making out. We eventually had the come to Jesus talk. He made it official while making out with me in the back of my brother's car, while a bunch of us were headed to the mall, yes another brother. I love my brothers and we were always together. As of 02/01/2008 we were officially dating. We spent my birthday together, he was working at the school at this time and was bored, so I showed up scantily dressed to make his night less boring. After he got off work, he, I, and the friend that introduced us went to dinner. All three of us had a cold and probably should not have been out in public that night. The next day all three of us had felt hung over from the cold and being out late for dinner. This next day also happens to be one of the first time I had met his mother. We moved in together for the first time in 2009. He then wanted to try dorm life, did not like it, so we moved back in together that next year. In this whole thing we moved 200 miles away from everyone we knew and it was hard. We met some amazing people, who we contact daily, and are very lucky to have in our lives. Fast forward to 2012. we are still living together 200 miles away from family. We have amazing jobs. I graduated from college and he is almost done with school as well. 01/15/12 while laying in bed he ask me to marry him. Of course I said yes.
01/19/2012 after being told I probably would never be able to get pregnant we gave birth to our beautiful daughter.
After five years together we eloped 02/24/12.
We are very unconventional but it works for us. My hubby is amazing and is the best father any little girl could ask for.
I could not ask for anymore from a man.
